Lesotho Electricity Authority (LEA) wishes to inform the general public that Lesotho Electricity Company (LEC) (Pty) Ltd, a holder of a Composite (Transmission, Distribution and Supply Businesses) Licence issued in terms of Section 50 of the LEA Act 2002 (the Act), has filed, in line with Section 24 (3) of the Act, an application for a change from kiloWatt (kW) tariff to kiloVolt- Ampere (kVA) tariff for Maximum Demand (MD) customers.

By this notice, the general public is informed and further invited to make and forward their comments and inputs on the application for consideration before LEA makes a final determination.

The table below summarises the current (kW) and proposed (kVA) tariff by LEC (Pty) Ltd for LEA's consideration. The proposed kVA charges are based on a power factor of 0.93.
